Using his control over the abyss, Sidurgu can encase himself in a barrier of shadow energy. This is not impenetrable. It will merely blunt the damage of up to five attacks. Meaning, that while it protects him, he is not left entirely invulnerable. However, beyond his initial casting, the barrier itself is invisible to the naked eye, and so his attacker would very likely not realize anything is amiss, until they've landed a blow on him.

He is unable to recast it for a short time (5-10mins).
